Bidemi Oluwalanami joined JSS Barristers in 2025 as an Articling Student, bringing prior experience from one of Nigeria’s magic circle law firms.
Education
Bidemi completed his Master of Laws degree at the University of Calgary where he was awarded the Honourable N.D McDermid Graduate Scholarship in Law and was nominated for the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships. He is also a graduate of the University of Lagos where he was the recipient of the Dr. Taslim Elias Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Land Law.
Experience
Prior to becoming a student-at-law, Bidemi practiced at one of Nigeria’s magic circle law firms for three years advising in the merger and acquisition, private equity, telecommunications, oil and gas, investments, employment, real estate and tax practice areas.
Personal
In his spare time, Bidemi enjoys watching documentaries and cooking. A semi-professional vocalist, he loves finding any excuse to sing and uses his talent every week singing at his local church.
